After a painful 12 years break, Baseball and Softball will return to the olympic Family 2020 in Tokyo/Japan. Final Decision was taken Wednesday at the 129th IOC Session held in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil. Baseball (Men) and Softball (Women) were selected together with Skateboard, Karate, Surfing and Sportclimbing to complete the olympic Summer Games Program.
Delightful to see that all the efforts from Organisations and Federations finally brought the campaign to bring Olympia back to a Happyend. Thanks to all involved.
The Swiss Baseball and Softball Federation is convinced that this decision will bring Baseball and Softball in Europe and in particulary in Switzerland a very positive boost for now and the future.
