BeeBall was introduced by the Dutch Baseball Federation with the aim of bringing baseball in Europe to a wider young audience. In doing so, we mainly approached youngsters, because no sport will succeed without enthusiastic young people. Through the use of fun methods, the youngsters are taught the rules and tactical finesse whilst the emphasis remains on having fun playing.
So the children develop their throwing, batting and running skills in small teams and with simple rules, bringing softball and baseball closer to young girls and boys.
The SBSF supports the project and has been successfully holding a BeeBall clinic since mid-March.
